Casa E. di Mirafiore
Casa E. di Mirafiore, located in the renowned Barolo area of North-Western Italy, was founded
in 1878 by Emanuele Alberto Guerrieri, Count of Mirafiore, son of the first King of Italy. Known
for its exceptional terroir, this estate is part of the UNESCO World Heritage vineyard
landscapes.
Count Emanuele Alberto, a visionary farmer-entrepreneur, revolutionized Barolo production,
introducing innovations like the first concrete barrels in Europe in 1887. Under his leadership,
Barolo gained international recognition, winning awards in Brussels, Chicago, and San
Francisco.
Today, Casa E. di Mirafiore emphasizes quality and sustainability, with organic-certified
vineyards spanning 25 hectares in Serralunga d’Alba and Barolo. They produce traditional
Piedmontese wines, including Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Nascetta, and own prestigious
crus like Lazzarito and Paiagallo.
Since 2018, the winery has achieved several certifications, including Sustainable Winery and
Vegan Product Certification, and publishes an annual Sustainability Report. In 2024, new cellars
were completed, further enhancing their production capabilities. Casa E. di Mirafiore stands as a
hidden gem of the Langhe, with over 140 years of iconic history.
